Wasps (which means Wasps Artists Studio Provision (Scotland) Ltd and associated organisations) is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with GDPR Act 2018). What data do we collect and how do we use it?
We use Google Analytics Cookies to improve how our Site works. The information collected is aggregated and anonymous. It includes the number of visitors to our Site, the Web Sites that referred them to our Site, the pages they visited on our Site, what time of day they visited our Site, whether they have visited our Site before, and other similar information. We use this information to help operate our Site more efficiently, to gather broad demographic information and to monitor the level of activity on our Site.
You can typically remove or reject cookies via your browser settings. In order to do this, follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually located within the “settings”, “help” “tools” or “edit” facility). Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings.
Wasps will not share, sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal information to third party suppliers who provide services on our behalf.
Wasps may disclose aggregate statistics about our Site traffic, demographics, our Web Site visitors and customers of our telephone services in order to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will not include personally identifying information.
Wasps may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or if it believes that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of Wasps and its Web Sites, visitors to the Web Sites and users of our Services.
Our Web Site contains links to the Sites of third parties. When you visit these Sites, we suggest that you read their privacy policies. Wasps is not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of such Sites.
Log files/IP addresses
When you visit our Web Sites, we automatically log your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer on the internet) which is automatically recognised by our web server. We use IP addresses to help us administer our Web Sites and to collect broad demographic information for aggregate use. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.
Depending on your settings or the privacy policies for social media and messaging services like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or Twitter, you might give us permission to access information from those accounts or services.
We collect basic personal details such as your name and e-mail address via the Newsletter sign in form. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe button in the Newsletter or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Where you opt out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to Personal Data provided to us as a result of a contract with Wasps (such as a space lease).
Non personal information
We may automatically collect non-personal information about you such as the type of internet browsers you use or the Site from which you linked to our Web Sites. You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in providing an effective service on our Web Sites. We may from time to time supply the owners or operators of third party Sites from which it is possible to link to our Web Sites with information relating to the number of users linking to our Web Sites from their Sites. You cannot be identified from this information.
How we use your information:
We will only use your Personal Data for the purposes for which we collected it as listed below, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with Legal Basis.
- We will use your information to tell you about our products and services which we think may be of interest to you.
- To tell you about changes in our services or new services, events and offers we think may be of interest to you.
- As a charity we’d like to send you occasional updates on our charitable work and we may invite you to support some of our projects.
You may be asked, either when you register with us, or at other times, for information about yourself, such as your name, e-mail address, postcode and telephone number. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent.
Wasps places a great importance on the security of all information associated with our customers. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of customer data under our control. For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised personnel have access to user information. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this.
How long will we keep information for?
We will only retain your Personal Data for so long as we reasonably need to use it for unless a longer retention period is required by law (for example for regulatory purposes).
Where is the information stored?
Information submitted by you may be transferred by us to our other offices and to reputable third party suppliers, which may be situated outside the European Economic Area. Not all countries outside the EEA have data protection or privacy laws. These third parties are:

PowerPack – integration software we use to create and send some promotional and informational emails to you
In addition, if you use our Services while you are outside the EEA, your information may be transferred outside the EEA in order to provide you with those Services.
We may amend this policy from time to time; for example, to keep it up to date or to comply with legal requirements. If there will be any significant changes made to the use of your personal information in a manner different from that stated, we will seek your permission first.
