Nancy Littlejohn is a Scottish, contemporary figurative artist whose work references the people, places, and personal items, from her past and present, everyday life.
Nancy mostly works in oils and charcoal, and occasionally uses watercolour. The streets of Glasgow, and the Ayrshire town of Girvan have been the inspiration behind Nancy’s recent artwork, and her canvasses and drawings are often populated with birds, rabbits and other wildlife. Sometimes, names of people and places are hidden in the compositions forming part of the compositional design.
A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Nancy studied drawing and painting, and has exhibited in galleries and art fairs in the United Kingdom. Nancy works from her WASPS studio in South Block, a creative studio complex in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City.
