I grew up in the north of England with a strong love of mythic and local stories.
I studied at Newcastle College and then Edinburgh College of Art graduating in 2001.
My work involves a narrative, often describing a journey, often ironic, I make illustrative and linear portraiture against a fantastical and geometric landscape. I like the idea of glorifying ordinary situations with an innate and gentle absurdity.
I have exhibited work in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sunderland, Austin Texas and Berlin been published in 'The Scotsman', 'The Sunday Times', 'ID Magazine', featured on Thames television and won praise from such illustrious figures as Brian Sewell and Wayne Hemingway!
