I design print and sew in my studio in Meadowmill, Dundee. I am passionate about developing designs and do this though painting collage and the process of print. A Duncan of Jordanstone textile graduate I returned there in 2016 as the school support specialist for Printed Textiles. I love teaching techniques for applying colour to cloth from dyeing and Shibori to screen and mono printing.
I’m always inspired by colour and am constantly drawn back to the local fishing harbours for the awesome collection of shape, form and line I can find there.
The work I’m developing for late 2018 is a range of gent’s ties and ladies scarves. The abstract designs are taken from my sketchbook development, professionally digitally printed and then hand finished by me.
