Fiona Swapp studied Graphic Art and Design in Aberdeen over 25 years ago, where she was first introduced to the beauty of botanical illustration, she has since completed a Diploma in Botanical Illustration through the Society of Botanical artists.
Fiona works mainly in watercolour for her pure botanical paintings through to acrylic, ink and oils for her more abstract works. Samples of Fiona’s botanical work can be found on her website.
Fiona Swapp is a Botanical Illustrator. She is happiest in front of an easel, behind a camera or working on her latest design project....which today is updating her own website with recent Ginkgo biloba drawings and artworks....Keep watching for more in the coming months....It's going to get bigger and better as the days go on.
Fiona’s art stems from a childhood love of drawing and painting, she has recently settled back into the role she loves most: being an Artist! Depending on exhibition brief or commission, she can adapt her style to suit. From small detailed botanicals to fresh watercolours to loose, large abstract.
