Photography has been part of my life for many years, I work with analog film based material as well a digital media. I place on the image rather than how it was arrived at. I still process my own films and am also exploring historic processes involving coating water colour paper then using UV light sources.
I do a lot of work with a pinhole camera, looking for the soft, dreamy like quality it produces, concentrating in particularly on the sea shore and gardens. My film based work is mainly seashore and woodlands and I tend to use digital for urban and street photography. I am influenced by Michael Kenna, Martin Parr, Simon Roberts, Joel Meyerowicz, William Eggleston and Henri Cartier Bresson.
