Riverside House’s thriving artist community in Gorgie-Dalry will throw open its studio doors this November, inviting the public to step inside the spaces where ideas take shape.

Across the weekend, visitors can wander through a lively creative hub, meet the people behind the work and discover painting, photography, illustration, ceramics, textiles, instrument making and much more. 

The Open Studios weekend offers a rare chance to see work in progress, hear first-hand about the inspirations and techniques behind each practice, and experience the energy of one of Edinburgh’s newest creative communities. Whether visitors are keen collectors, curious neighbours, families looking for an inspiring day out or simply searching for an original gift, there will be something new to encounter around every corner. 

Visitors will be able to browse and buy directly from artists and makers, enjoy demonstrations and conversations, and gain a closer understanding of the skill, experimentation and care that go into each piece. With an extraordinary mix of disciplines gathered under one roof, the event promises an engaging and welcoming celebration of creativity for all ages. 

The building is fully accessible, with lift access to its creative spaces.
